Thanks for that review on AA. I've been a user of Cool Edit Pro for a year and a half or so now, and have been debating whether or not I should upgrade to Audition. I had heard some things over at homerecording.com/bbs that Adobe wasn't going to keep the program updated the same way Syntrillium did. A lot of people seem to think that version 1.0 is the only version coming out. Do you know anything about that?

That may not prove to be an "upgrade" for strictly audio purposes. I use PhotoShop 6 and love it, but I read that the latest version is more cumbersome to use without improving functionality, in pursuit of integrability with Adobe's other software. I have been using CEP/AA since the 1.2 days, and its strength is its relative ease of use, even for a Luddite like myself. Here's hoping Adobe doesn't improve it past usefulness.
