Front End Audio, retailer of quality recording gear, and Mojo Pie announce a special giveaway for February 2005. There is only one way to enter for a chance to win a new Stedman Proscreen XL.

February is the month of love because it's the month for Valentines. To be entered in the giveaway, all you need to do is post a love song lyric with lots of Ps and Bs (the sort of things creating a need for a popfilter). You will post your lyric in this thread so you must be a member of the Mojo Pie Forums to enter.

Your lyric must be posted by 10 pm Central Standard Time on February 28, 2005, for you to be entered in the giveaway. The winner will be drawn shortly thereafter and the winner announced at 11 pm on the same day. By entering the giveaway, you give Mojo Pie and Front End Audio permission to use your real name and Mojo Pie username for promotional purposes without further compensation.

The winner of the giveaway will be responsible for any taxes, tariffs, duties or other governmental fees that arise from winning the contest or from receiving shipment. The giveaway is void where prohibited or if your local jurisdiction requires Front End Audio or Mojo Pie to incur any taxes, tariffs, duties or other governmental fees. If you live outside the USA or Canada, then you may be asked to pay all or a portion of shipping. You must be 18 or older to enter. Decisions of the judges are final.

Good luck.

I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a limerick thing. sigh.gif

Warren, could you tell us how much you're selling these for? As well, how is it different from the PS101?
Warhead
I've had a prototype in here for a while which appears to be exactly like the production model will be. That being said...I can't guarantee they're exactly the same because we're still waiting on our opening order of them. The XL is that new!

The XL is a 6" screen and also has a protective rubber ring around the edges of the metal screen. It has a huge extended clamp that is very sturdy and easy to position, and a big knob for tightening and loosening the clamp. The gooseneck is also easier to position than the PS101 model.

Same performance except you get a much bigger and more functional everything. I like the coverage the 6" allows and now I reach for my PS101 second. It's easier to get the XL in place etc.

Price? Again, we're waiting on word from Stedman on the pricing! I will hopefully be able to pop in this week and give you that info. It's very early in the game and we wanted to get the word out on them.

I look forward to checking out some of the songs... jrope.gif

I thought about the Peter Piper thing. NAH!!!

Poems about passion are no longer in fashion
Instead it's plastic people plastic feelings
Lipstick lovers philander often
Never to praise beloved paradise

Peter Piper may be a disqualifying lyric!

This is my boneheaded punk rock entry:

Explosive Plosives (a love ode)

Plosive plosive plosive!
I love you like a dog.
(repeat 4 times)

Bobby is bloody!
Billy is bad!
Bertha's in bondage!
Because of a plosive!
(repeat)

Plosive plosive plosive!
I love you like a dog.
(repeat 4 times)

Boston is big!
Branson is boring!
Boise is Boise?
Because of a plosive!
(repeat)

This is the most difficult sweepstakes I've ever entered.

The characters and events depicted in the following song are fictional, and any resemblance to a real person or situation is purely coincidental.

Blue Bear, Blue Bear,
How I love you so.
I’ll take pedantic bickering;
I want your studio.

Blue Bear, Blue Bear,
Canadian and free.
When I profess my love for you,
Give your studio to me.

Blue Bear, Blue Bear,
Don’t get out of kilter.
This was what popped in my head,
I could use a nice pop filter.

i want blue bear's studio
with my own gear in it
i want it someplace warm
not in the cold of canada

mexico would be better
the beer is better than canadian
i blame canada for so many things
universal healthcare, cheap drugs

Are you tired of hating how you feel,
once the pill you take no longer heals,
Barfing chunks of pork out on the floor
And your babe won't help you to the door?

Well Bubba's baby Barb picks up the pieces
Bubba's baby parks his butt in the bed.
Bubba's baby likes to hear him blow
That old saxophone till his face turns red.

Bubba blew his brains out playin loudly
Barb was booty shakin, poppin' her heels.
Bubba broke the wood in the boards on porch
The party pooped out, outside on the floor.

Well Babba's baby Barb packed the Packard
Puttin' down Pacific Palisades
Bubba's Tascam studio demo was blarin'
at 100 d B on that hot summer's day.

Chorus:
Pretty Polly Pemmington
Being very bright again
How I love her wit and charm
But mostly Pretty Polly's lawn

Stealing out through bluesy dark
sneaking past old Buster's bark
passing by a bloody thicket
bye bye sounds of summer cricket

By Moon's cast we tip toe past
the first cobbled path of alabast
down the hill and round the brass
almost there to Polly's grass

Now we lay amongst the green
too long before we last had been
we kiss and pass the cherub's bowl
speaking tongues and touching full

Pretty Polly singing now
pressing petals taking bows
Rolling over tilling seeds
sweaty drops on lover's beads

Patricia was pretty and always played the part,
her Pops wasn't happy that this boy had won her heart
I had to find a plan to placate this big, bald man
or my perfect world would slowly fall apart

Then I started thinking Patricia's Pop he loves his brew
but not just any beer would make this bold plan come through
You see Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer is the way to make him smile
So I made my purchase and headed there in style

Yes, Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer made us best beer drinking friends
Now Patricia and I are married and the party never ends
Her granpappy is so happy with a new Pontiac he did us bless
Thank you Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer you are the best

Hey, we're only about 48 hours until the end of this giveaway. This has been my fave giveaway since the Beethoven contest.

Swing Back
(Mid-Tempo Country Feel)

Contemplating my competition
I ponder at the bar
It's obvious that my baby and me
Are incredibly bizzare

Typical couples spend special time
Embracing there beloved
But my baby and me
Are separate from all of the above

Chorus: But my baby is perfect for me
We both bob around
But be it known my baby and me
Our love will still abound

She shines at what we both do best
Both betrothed
But not what you'd expect
Sincere love, not middle of the road

Best part is we appreciate
what we both have
Blend and compliment is the secret
Boundless love to be had

Chorus: But my baby is perfect for me
We both bob around
But be it known my baby and me
Our love will still abound
Repeat 4X till Fade
