Hey People,

Sorry for being a little OT but I am exploring every last corner of oportunity -

In April I am running the London Marathon and have comitted to run for a deserving charity and really welcome all the support and sponsorship I can muster.

I'm running for AfghanAid, a charity that works in partnership with the Afghans to improve their quality of life and secure their basic needs for the future. In a country where 1 in 4 children die before the age of 5, their work has an immediate effect helping build a future where people have healthier lives. thumbsup.gif

More info on the Charity can be found here - www.afgahnaid.org.uk

Although thhe marathon is a massive undertaking I am really looking
forward to it and so to make it really worthwhile please take a moment to click here and sponsor me.
Thanks again,

It's a ton of hard work to prepare. I'm definately NOT a runner but my wife is. She trained for a marathon several years ago. I remember hot August days when she would run to a park about 10 miles away then run around the loop, another 5 miles, which included a big hill. I'd drive out to pick her up. She used to do 6 mi just about every night and then a long run on the weekend. Unfortunately she got an ear infection about a week before the run and she ended up having to stop after about 20 miles. She really hadn't recovered from the illness. It was a shame that she didn't make it.

Train well and the run should be fun, even if it hurts a bit.
