hi, first time posting around here.
Anyone know how much one of these would go for? I was using this until I bought a Lexicon MPX-500. I dont really have much use for it anymore. Also, if anyone wants it, let me know.
thanks in advance

ohhh. i love these.
dont sell it! or wait a month and sell it to me!
i paied $125 for mine at a store. on ebay i think they go from $75-$150. pretty crazy (low supply low demand).
aim for deltalab enthusiasts. they are rare and desired among that small small group of people.
there are a few over at tapeop.
by the way, does your lexicon have a knob for changing the modulation from saw to sine to square? bet it doesnt.

no, the lexicon doesnt have a function to change the modulation.
the DL-4 isnt really going anywhere, even though id like to part with it asap. i almost took it to the pawn shop but stopped myself. i noticed on ebay they dont sell for much.. even though i hear how rare they are... i decided not to put it up. ive been able to get some crazy things out of it with vocals, but the lexicon has the reverbs, chorus and pitch shifting that ive been looking for.
i am looking for a compressor however. i bought a POS behringer at the local guitar center a while ago and it sucked... i put it on ebay and found it a happy home. but ever since then ive been without. if you can get me a nice compressor in exchange for the DL-4, we can do that :)
btw, whats this tapeop site? i dont know very many recording sites.

messageboard.tapeop.com
it concentrates on indie music.

hmm maybe i wont get rid of it then, seems like a ton of people on that board are using deltalab gear for cool stuff.. however i didnt see any posts about the dl-4 specifically.. i noticed your posts on there and assumed you were talking about the dl-4 but no one else really said anything about it.. just the effectrons and others. a search for dl-4 on there gets me hits for the line6 dl-4 :/
just one question, is your unit kinda noisy compared to other stuff? if i have it connected by itself to my mixer, i can hear the pumping of the flange... if thats normal thats fine.. but if not how can i fix that?

i'll give it the good old "extreme isolation headphone" test. those things are great for finding odd noises from gear.
i have really checked to see if it is noisy or not. i assume it is a bit. it also seems to have trouble with high frequencies (10k+), crunching them a little bit, in an odd digital way that is not altogether too unpleasant. but not great.
notwithstanding, the strength of the unit is not "clean and clear" delay, but affected delay. so i dont mind such things.
