It can be the little things sometimes. Like not marking up the panels of your gear and not leaving a sticky residue by not trying to mark up the panels of your gear. Solution? Drafting Tape. If there's something that leaves behind less adhesive, let us all know, but I haven't found fault here. Great for consoles, rack gear, and marking out notes on a piano/keyboard for a non-musician.

(The general rule for any adhesive tape seems to be the longer you leave it on, the more likely it is that the tape becomes one with the surface. If that comes up, maybe I'll need to do a later installment on WD-40.)

[I'll try to get more of these out, but work is consuming lately. Sorry folks.]

Hi,

A couple more tips to keep everything shiny.

GooRemove. For when the gear already has tape residue. As with any cleaning chemical try it on the back or bottom first but I've never had a problem with goo remove eating anything except the tape residue.

ArmorAll. A friend of mine dusts his gear with ArmorAll and he says it repels dust.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry

Y'know, I have some WD-40 and I have some older gear I got used with some residue or tape on it, so maybe I should give that a go.
