So I read the funky and uncommon recording gear article and the lomo 19a9 sounds way cool. I was looking at the sound room page and they have lomo tops for some oktava mics. would this sound like the lomo 19a9? what od you guys know about this?

I don't know if the capsules have anything to do with each other. I believe the 19a9 came in two form factors, a front-address and a side-address version. The Lomo tops, designated M-1, M-3, and maybe M-2, are supposed to get more voltage than the MC-012 will deliver, but the under-voltage is supposed to sound cool for a big, fat, colorful sound.
