Scored a deal on one. My problem is I don't quite get the mounting system. The yoke mount ends in a stalk with an XLR connector at the end, but no apparent stand mount. Huh?! Is the stalk of the yoke supposed to go in a mic clip? What's with the threaded ring at the end of the stalk by the connector?

(Comments other than befuddlement as I get a chance to play with it.)

Bear,

You guessed right. There's a mic clip that goes around that cylinder. It pops on and off. Actually works pretty good for positioning the mic. I guess you're missing one.

I've never tried another mic clip with it. And I don't know about those threads. You've got me curious though. I will check tomorrow.

Thanks,

Bear.

I checked mine out. I'm not sure what the actual function of the threaded ring is but by taking it off I got several of my mic clips to hold the cylinder real well. I also have a couple of clips that snapped on but that depends on how far they wrap around.

If you find one that fits it good you might want to just dedicate it to the mic and screw the thumbscrew ring thing back on.

BTW you purchased a real mic. I love mine.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry
