Full Version: Trick Alert: brick-wall limiter in some Delta Labs effects

I need to get a chance to play with it, but I've learned from the Tape Op board that Effectron delays and probably any of the Delta Labs boxes with an indicator light labeled "Limit" has an analog brick-wall limiter on board (thus not "clip"). Push all the buttons so none are selected and set the mix to 100% wet is the way I hear it.

(This is about as cool as learning about the secret delay mode for the SRV-2000.)

On the SRV-2000, hold the "Write," "Room Simulate," and "Reverb/Non-Linear" buttons down at once while turning on the power. Not a long delay, but pretty cool.

Anyone got any more secrets?

Kurzweil Rumour and Mangler can use each other's presets. You just got to load them. When this got out, Kurzweil pulled the presets from the internet. I don't know if they've done a fix and put the presets back up. So, you can run half Mangler and half Rumour if you want if it's not been fixed yet.

Hmm. Would that be the "Algorithm Reference" download? (It's password-only access and I don't own either.) Other ways about it like a sysex dump from someone who owns the other? I wonder if you can use sneaky tricks to get at KSP-8 algorithms and patches.

I think you got to get with someone who owns the other for it to be done nowadays.
