I haven't been around in a bit...life is keeping me busy. Anyway, I just thought I'd take a moment to say "hello" .... Keep digging out those crazy boxes and cheapo mics to add character to your recordings !

Heck yeah...some of the best kick drums, for example, were nothing more than old style beer cases (stupidly thick cardboard) with a pedal attached, mic'd up with an RE20...
As time permits, I love experimenting with old 'junk' ... and time/funding permitting, will be doing a self recording project this year using only a 4 track machine and getting real bounce happy...just to see if I can still do it.
