Hi. I've just been offered a D and R preamp for 150 euros! I know nothing about them or have even heard of them so am not sure if this is a good buy or they're any good? I already have an M-Audio Tampa and DMP3 which I really like. Would the D & R be a step up from these?

Anyone tried them? I would really appreciate your info on these!

Thanks

Off hand guess without knowing the particular item or having personally used D&R gear is that it's worth the dough and will probably be a fair step up over the DMP-3. Probably a bit too different from the Tampa to do an apples to apples comparison. Usenet's rec.audio.pro might have decent searchable info on D&R stuff if you're not getting helpful info.
