Well, yeah, that's not quite the point of the piece. There's quite a difference between coming up in the LA paisley undeground versus coming up in the midwest hardcore scene, which might have a lot to do with their trajectories. The more interesting and unmentioned commonality is that both we're carrying the power-pop torch in a major way.
